The design concept of iPiT - capacity development

The description of the operating mode should be available in the local language and in a design preferred by the locals.
Capacity development and stakeholder involvement on all levels is very important, once the technical components of the integrated system are ready for implementation.
The design concept of iPiT - matching the overall system

The iPiT is a key component of an integrated sanitation system. Therefore, it is specifically designed to match the specific needs of the overall system. The toilet and the containers have to function as a unity, while their design has to correspond with the transport means, the treatment facilities and the re-use options, as well.
Container and accessability

Replaceable, stackable and easily transportable and emptyable containers are crucial key components of the toilet. Accessablity for a service company enhances the user comfort and permits the integration into the overall system in an economic and efficient way. The matching design of toilet and containers is indispensable.
